Virtual Tour

M6 during “lock down”

Owing to the Chrona virus 19 pandemic, “lock down” and restrictions in travel, our proposed cycle  tour to Tewkesbury was cancelled.

With limits in England of rides only for excercise and virtual house arrest in Wales it is amazing how many photographs we have from Ashbourne to Pembroke. These will shortly be published as a 2020 VIRTUAL MAYFEST.

In 1947 ten members of St Christopher’s cycled 410  miles in a  tour of Switzerland organised by Carl Ehrenzeller and including Eugene Donetti.

History of the London Sections

The 1950s was an era of expansion in cycling and the membership of Clubs and Associations. St. Christopher’s  attracted many more members and particularly in London.

Work is now going ahead to establish information on the formation of the London Sections, dates, place, founder members, runs captains.

Please contribute if you are able. Photographs are welcome but be aware of the Data Protection Act.

Eugene Donetti London Section 100 years

Eugene recalled riding in 1939 with founder members of the London Section  on long rides and in competetive time trials.

Frank Magatti was the leader.

Because of the Coronavirus the proposed 3 day cycle tour in May around Tewkesbury has been cancelled.
